What are really the things that make the difference between LED and LCD? I guess some of us are bothered also about LED vs LCD. Which is better? Which is more efficient? In order to answer this question, I made a little research about the frequently asked questions when I do some window shopping for home appliances.

According to my research, the only difference among LED and LCD are only the placement of the lights and the lights that are being used. In a television, both of them have Liquid Crystal Displays, which means, they are of the same qualities and only differs in the lights being used. LCD makes the use of fluorescent backlighting to light up the display and make those pictures perceptible when the light is on. While on the other hand, LED or Light-Emitting Diodes are being used in the display to produce light and make the pictures visible through it.
